4 Easy Ways to Get Curly Hair Without a Curling Iron

How to get curly hair? It has been one of the most popular questions among women.

The charm of curly hair will never go unnoticed, especially if you have very little hair. So let’s learn how to achieve beautiful curly hairs without damaging the hair strands in natural ways.

To get quick results, more often, people tend to treat their hair with rollers and curlers. With them, there is always a risk of damaging hair strands.

Here we will be explaining in detail about four different yet effective ways to curl your hair naturally. Follow any of these natural methods to make your hair curly.

Method 1: Braiding

The most popular method for getting beautiful curly hair is through braiding. Start of it by washing your hair with a shampoo or cleanser followed by drying it up with a cloth. Now carefully comb your hair without breaking the strands. Start braiding 2 or 3 sections of hair from top to bottom near the neck. Tie up the ends with a band and leave it like that for all day. On the next day, you can remove the band and take apart the braid. Then you will be left with beautiful curly hair. To enhance the look, you can use hairspray.

Method 2: Pin Curls

This method has been in use for many decades. To start, first, wash your hair as pin curls are effective on damp hair. Even though spraying is good enough to wet the hair, it is better to wash your hair for lasting curly hair. Now you can dry your hair with a towel. If the hair is thick, it is good to take more time to dry up before curling the hair.

Take a small section of your hair and wrap it around your thumb and forefinger to make a perfect curl. Continue curling in a spiral form until it reaches the top portion of your head. Use a pin to stick these curls together. Make your way around your head until all your hair has been pinned tightly.

Now cover up your hair with a cloth to prevent the pins from loosening. Wait for a few hours for the hair to completely dry up. Once you are sure the hair has dried up, you can take out the pins starting from the bottom. At first, the hair strands might not appear spiral, but don’t worry once you finish plucking off all pins you can style the curls as per your needs.

Method 3: Bun Hairstyle

The bun is considered one of the most popular hairstyles. It is perfectly versatile and can be done in many ways. The kind of method you should choose depends on your needs and taste. If long-bouncy curls are what you are looking for, then the Bun hairstyle is for you! Again start with washing your hair and carefully combing it to make a ponytail structure. With the help of a band, make sure the ponytail is in place. Now wrap up the hair strands in a circular motion to cover up the ponytail and tuck both ends in a curly manner. Use 2-3 pins to tie up the hair this way and wait for a few hours. Once you are sure that the hair is completely dried up, remove the pins and unhook your long bouncy curly hair.

Method 4: Rag Curls

Rag curling is the most friendly method. Like other curling methods, it is good to wash your hair at the start with a shampoo or hair conditioner as rag curling works better with damp hair. Now strip off a soft cloth according to the length of your hair. It can be around 1 to 5 inches wide and 8 to 15 inches long.

Take apart your hair from the backside and tie one side into a loose ponytail. Take the bottom of the hair strand by wrapping it with the rag. Curl the hair strand along with the cloth and tie up the loose strands on the top. Repeat this step several times around the head and make different layers of curls. Make sure the hair is completely dried up if so take off the rags. With the help of a comb, you can now style your hair. It is also good to use some conditioners to improve the shininess of your hair.

All four methods mentioned here are equally valid. But some of them take more time compared to others. It is absolutely up to you to choose which one of them you want to adapt for your hair to make it curly!
